Inside every horse is a little devil. Rocco, a devilish Canadian Horse.
I was chatting with a fellow blogger about the joys of jumping with ponies. I related that my pinto was a terrible jumper. I however could clear his head and the fence with such grace and style I’m sure I could have won any equitation event all by myself.
Have a devil horse story? Why not share it here!
I love visiting Patricia’s stable. From the moment I pull into the driveway, I feel all my photography plans just drift away. Randomness takes over. As I bask in Patricia’s warm infectious smile, I know a new magic will take over.
Simplicity becomes the new mantra. To heck with backgrounds, F-stops, bracketing, it’s like I’ve never held a camera before.
I follow Patricia like a puppy, as we randomly bring out two horses. Then we become three puppies following our mistress, a simple, “How about over here on the grass?” is all we needed. Instantly we know it’s time to play. Every now and then Patricia glances over at me with a, “I love these babies” expression and the love is mutual. I feel like I’m doing holiday snaps of a mother and her children. I click away smiling ear to ear wondering if I even turned on my camera. “It must be on, I here the ‘clicking’.”
Then like children they go running off.
To visit their friends.
But when Mummy calls…
Its time to get ready for dinner and so ends my day. I can’t remember what I originally wanted to shoot, but I do know it was well worth the visit to the Centre Équestre Jardins D’éden. The Garden of Eden Equestrian Center.
Thank you Patricia.
