Fall photo with the Riders of the Écurie du Parc.
One of the best parts of living in Quebec is the explosion of colors in the fall. It’s the perfect background.
Ribbon shots are probably the most difficult photos of an equestrian event. This was captured by my partner Gabrièle Roy and has to be my favorite of the day. Humans are difficult enough to pose. They’re excited having just won an event . You have to get them to focus and be calm for just a second or two. Horses on the other hand feel rather different about the whole thing. They’ve done their job, now getting praise, fine, but the bottom line is, “where’s my dinner?”
Congratulations to everyone at the AERE Championships.
